Business networkers from The Growth Community are celebrating with their charity partner, The Children’s Air Ambulance, after raising £27,000!
The two organisations partnered in the early part of the pandemic to support each other during difficult times. The Growth Community were able to offer much needed ways for the charity to keep the conversations going with potential supporters as well as training and support for their fundraising team. But it was the way The Children’s Air Ambulance engaged in the meetings that really impressed Founder, Nicky Thomas.
Nicky said: “From the minute I met Community Fundraiser, Sharon Evans, I knew this was going to be a very special partnership. The pandemic was really hard for both organisations but by working together we’ve both been able to see some phenomenal results.”
Nicky continues: “The Growth Community is a small business, but we are mighty! I’m so proud to announce that over the three years we’ve been partnered (most of which has been during a global pandemic) our members have raised an amazing £27,000!!”
The networkers raised the money through events such as fire walks, climbing mountains and Santa runs, as well raffles and auctions. The members have also volunteered at events and given The Children’s Air Ambulance a stage to raise awareness of their lesser known service.
Community Fundraising Executive for the charity, Sharon Evans, said:
“We are delighted to be the chosen charity by The Growth Community. It is incredible that they have managed to raise £27,000 to support our lifesaving charity over the past three years and we would like to thank each, and every person involved for this.”
“Without support like theirs we wouldn’t be able to continue our vital high-speed missions – saving the lives of critically ill babies and children across the UK.”
Says Nicky: “The relationships that have been built between The Growth Community and The Children’s Air Ambulance are such a success story. We’ve got plenty of plans in the pipeline for how we can continue to work together and save more little lives in the future.”
