Founder, Elliot Ghali had been associated with The Growth Community since 2020 as an employee of other organisations and has worked hard at the relationship building element of his membership. So, when he took the plunge to start his own venture, he knew that being a member was an essential part of his marketing strategy.

How Elliot “Couldn’t have done it without The Growth Community.”
Why was The Growth Community so fundamental to your growth strategy?
It was massively fundamental in actually building the brand. We always talk about brand and building a community, but actually having a community to spread that brand helps it to grow bigger and wider more efficiently.
Example really grew from that. Nicky, the owner of The Growth Community made me an introduction to another member really early on and it literally catapulted the business for the first four months. Literally, Example would not be here, leading by example, without the Growth Community. Purely from those introductions. I think introductions are just unbelievably important.
What specific results have you had from your membership?
I had my biggest ever in-person speaking event in front of a hundred businesses and the highest paid speaking event I’ve ever had – which is incredible! I’ve been able to do paid webinars which came from multiple Growth Community introductions and I was also able to land my biggest clients.
While it’s not astronomical numbers for some, we initially hit five figures within 2-3 months! So sort of breaking even straight away just from one introduction! And it’s kind of strange to say that we’re now a six figure company. Example wouldn’t have started in such an incredible way without the Growth Community.
How has The Growth Community actually supported the growth of your business.
Attending meetings fortnightly and doing what I can to give back. Giving away free information to people where I can. The more you help people the more you learn and use that to support other clients and integrate it into more services. Members also reciprocate this. I have learned ridiculous amounts. I regularly have my mind blown from talking to other members and learning more about how to be a better business owner. Being part of the community is all about growth. Everyone supports each other’s growth.
I love attending the fortnightly meetings. Fortnightly is much more manageable than weekly. Everyone is so laid back. But, the wider community has been really good as well. I’ve been able to create collaborations within my group as well as across the wider community and my clients come from those sources too. The opportunity to collaborate is my favourite part.
I feel like The Growth Community has helped me feel more confident in developing Example. I feel like we’re a company that is now leading more and more by example, due to the support we’ve been given by community members Moving forward we’re definitely going to see much more growth and we’re going to try to give back as much as we can.
What would you say to someone who’s thinking about attending a meeting?
I think the best way I’d describe Growth Community meetings is: laid back, encouraging, enjoyable, and valuable. My advice would be to just come along and tell people how you help the people you work with. Don’t just pitch. Tell us what you do that helps people.
How would you sum up the experience you’ve had at The Growth Community?
I’ll be a hundred percent honest – Example, would not be here today without The Growth Community. Well we’d probably be here. It just wouldn’t be beyond where I projected! I’m very growth driven but it’s definitely exceeded my expectations!
I’ve actually built friendships. I’ve have gained friends from The Growth community. I heard something in coaching once that went: would you rather surround yourself with successful friends or poor idiots and obviously I’d rather be around successful friends! It puts you in a different mindset when you’re around driven people – whether you are starting out or already successful. When you’re in a place where you can meet all these types of people it widens your perspective.
