Back in 2020 when we were all facing the challenges of lockdown and the global pandemic, Growth Community Founder, Nicky Thomas, decided to go back to basics.
She spent time thinking about what she loved about business networking as well as the things that she felt could add greater value and help professional people get much more from their networking time. And in September 2020, The Growth Community was born.
Initially online, the groups quickly grew in person as lockdown restrictions were lifted. Now the community has groups across Yorkshire, Humber, Lincolnshire, online and in Nottinghamshire, and will shortly be launching in Derbyshire.
Says Nicky: “It’s important that there is purpose behind our networking, because if we are expending time, money and energy doing it, we want to see a return. But I wanted to create a community that was built around a value system, where people who shared that value system could more easily work together and support each other’s goals and aspirations. I also wanted them to enjoy their networking without too many strict and inflexible rules getting in the way!”

“Our Member Only meetings have been a massive hit and many of our members cite them as the most valuable part of their membership. And of course, we continue to offer our guests the opportunity to visit us up to 6 times a year (every year) if membership is not something that they can commit to.”
With further growth plans in the pipeline and lots of initiatives planned to increase the value of membership, The Growth Community is well placed for another five years of success.
