Who will be crowned Growth Community Fundraisers of the Year 2023?

Have you got your competitive pants on?

GET READY for some Group Competition!

We know how competitive you all are about who is the best Growth Community group… so now it’s time to put your money where your mouth is.

Let’s see who is the BEST and SAVE LIVES – by #WorkingTogether.

During the autumn months we are are asking our members to work together and raise loads of money for our charity partner – The Children’s Air Ambulance.

There will be accolades for the top fundraiser and the top fundraising group (and a trophy!)

We’d love it if as many members as possible could challenge yourselves to raise at least £50 each  as that would get us to our £7000 target.

A bit about our Charity Partner

The Children’s Air Ambulance have been our charity partner since the very beginning (before the beginning in fact!)

They are an intensive care transfer service for babies (of any size or weight) and children up to the age of 18. The missions they carry out are life and death and mean the world to the families during their darkest hours.

We chose them as our partner because, unlike a lot of other charities, they give back as much as they take. The fundraising team – Sharon Evans, Tracey Jones, Fiona Franklin, Cherry Crane and Liz Kelly – all attend our meetings and do a lot to introduce and support other members.

To date we’ve raised around £27k but we want to push that well over the £30k mark before the end of 2023.

And that’s where you come in…

The Challenge

We are aiming to raise £7000 before the end of the year.

If you want to get involved we’d love you to challenge yourself to raise £50 (or the equivalent amount overall for your group.)

Based on our current membership numbers that will get us to the target – but we know that some of you are brilliant at raising money so we would love to better than that if we can!

Each group will have their own individual Just Giving page to put their donations on. And we hope there will be some great competition between groups.

How you raise the money is entirely up to you (and your group)

It could be something as simple as a bake or yard sale through to taking on a personal challenge. As a group you can have networking open meetings, a raffle, a team challenge or the charity can organise you a bucket collection or supermarket shopping bag packing session – or many other things. The sky’s the limit!

We’ll share more details with your group leader so you can decide together how you are going to be Fundraisers of the Year!
